Culburra Beach Sunrise Walk

Culburra Beach Sunrise Walk picture of the sunrise

Wake up to the sunrise and watch as the sun peeks above the waves of the Pacific Ocean.

Locals know that a Beach Sunrise walk at Culburra is one of the best, simple experiences in Shoalhaven.

Enjoy the most beautiful part of the day with a feeling of relaxation before your day of fun and activities in the Southern Highlands begins, stick around for a swim or a surf at the Warrain surf beach, make your way to the rock platform at Penguin Head, a fantastic lookout. Or visit Lake Wollumbulla.

Culburra is about a half hours drive from Nowra. The long sandy beach with it’s sand hills is typical of a NSW beach. There are two areas for swimming, one at the northern end at Crookhaven Heads and one down the far end off Penguin Head Road.

The swimming is child friendly at Tilbury cove at the eastern end of the beach.

After your stroll on the beach, head to one of the fantastic cafe’s in Culburra for lunch or fish and chips.
